CALL FOR STUDENTS – FUTURE ASSISTENCE PROVIDERS IN TEACHING

Association of Disabled Students (ADS) with the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the project "Delivery of Improved Local Services" - DILS has announced a competition for providers of assistance in higher education within the project "Assistance Service in Higher Education - Volunteer same age support for students with disabilities" . The project is being implemented in partnership with the National Association of Disabled Students and the Institute for the handicap and social inclusion and aims to provide assistance in the classroom, students and students with disabilities by their peers / colleagues for non-disabled.

Niš Association of Disabled Students organizes service of assistance in teaching based on the free and voluntary peer support within the city of Nis university center during the summer semester of 2012, which includes volunteering for the organization, assistance in going to and back from college, taking notes in lectures, prepare literature for storing exams, and learning. All the students who are interested in their peers within disabilities assistance should thoroughly complete and submit the application form no later than March 02 2012 and submit it at the following address: nush018@gmail.com. Training for future teaching assistants will be held on March 3 in the premises of the organizations participating in the project about which candidates will be informed later. The selection of assistants and assistants shall be based on acquired knowledge and skills during training, as well as the needs and available resources within the project. Students who are selected to provide assistance, will be notified no later than March 5, while the implementation of assistance to start the second half of this month and will run until June 30 2012. All the students who are actively involved in the implementation of activities, will receive a certificate of attendance of training and activist involvement in the Association of Disabled Students.
